Saturday was my first time at Leather Pride Night, and I kinda had no idea what to expect. It turned out to be a lot of fun, but for reasons technically unrelated to LPN (which I will get to later). I guess I was kinda surprised by the number of gay men at this event. It's not that I wasn't expecting some to be there, it's just that I didn't expect them to dominate the event. When we got there we went downstairs because that was less crowded and a few more friends of ours were down there already. After hanging out down there a bit, we soon notice that M and our friends' (hot female) neighbor Lulu are making out. So that ends up taking up most of my attention.
After being a shameless voyeur for about 10 minutes, I decide to sit next to my friend J from out of town, who had come in for the weekend. After some more time, I see M lift up Lulu, piquing (sp?) my interest. She then carries her over and sits her down on my lap. After a bit of surprise and seeing an approving look on M's face, a three-way make-out begins. The only thing that could have made this better was if Lulu were not a smoker (cigarettes are a
HUGE pet peeve of mine). 30 minutes later, sadly, Lulu had to go out for a cigarette, and that was sadly the end of making out with Lulu that night. But it was still amusing to see M excited about this for the next couple days.
Sunday was
Folsom Street East, which was less cool than expected/hoped for. My biggest bone to pick with the event is that there were speakers all over the place, so that there wasn't less noise to go along with greater distance to the stage. I was also kinda surprised by the number of people there wearing only things like
this. It was still fun to be in a public space where everyone was kinky and proud about it.
As M said about herself more than once, this was the first time that I felt comfortable in the public scene. Here's to more!
